Douglas Hannant "Pink" Spring 2012

So last night was Fashion's Night Out, which is now the unofficial kick off to Fashion week here in NYC. I was invited to attend the launch of the Douglas Hannant "Pink" Spring 2012 collection. Since the collection is named "pink", I decided to go with a pink ensemble to celebrate the launch.

Pink suite- ZARA (also seen here)

Leopard halter- F21

Leather Clutch- Aldo

Sandals- Trouve

Douglas Hannant has been designing ready-to-wear and bridal collections for the sophisticated & polished woman for many years now. The launch of his "Pink" collection now broadens his reach to the fun, chic, and polished young lady.

I had lots of fun and rocked out to music by "The Vandelles".

Saw some interesting characters through the night...

He just knew that he was fly with his mismatched shoes and striped blazer and you couldn't  tell him otherwise. I loved it! He definitely had the personality to pull it off.

She reminded me so much of what I picture Lady Gaga like in the next 30 years. You couldn't tell her NOTHING!!! She thought that she was the star of the show!

New Yorkers... you just gotta love us :-)

Blazing Glory: ZARA Blazer Haul :-)

Since I'm still in the process of adding some much needed fall pieces to my wardrobe, I've used this as an excuse to add some blazers from one of my absolute favorite stores... ZARA. I actually purchased 6 blazers, but decided on sharing 4 because the other 2 are pretty basic (1 gray and 1 black blazer). I actually found 3 out of the 6 of them on their clearance racks for about 60% off (I was super excited!!! lol).

From left to right: Leopard, Tweed & Leather, Blue Double Breasted, and Snake Print.

Leopard will automatically add a touch of attitude to your outfit...

Every diva needs a tweed blazer, it's so chic and sophisticated...

A blue blazer is a staple, sometimes blue is the new black...

Snake print tells everyone that you are a confident fashionista...

I love blazers! They can make a casual look appear more polished, take you from day to evening, and are great for almost every social setting. Whenever I'm in doubt, I blaze-r my way out lol.

What are some key pieces that you adding to your wardrobe this fall?

Hello Lover: Falling for Leopard w. Fabio Rusconi's Olivia-L :-)

Fall is literally around the corner, so it's time for me to update my wardrobe with some fall pieces to get me through the season. While browsing some of my favorite sites, I stumbled upon these Fabio Rusconi shoes and knew that I had to have them for the fall season. They are such a fun and interesting way to play upon the leopard "trend" (I say "trend" because many have said that leopard is a passing trend, but it's been holding it's on for over  a decade now so I don't really consider it a trend. I think of it as more of a staple when done correctly).

These shoes are absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable thanks to the 1.5" platform and thick 5.5" heel. They are constructed of a leather (suede) upper, leather lining and sole. I love that the platform and heel are the only places on the shoe adorned with the calf hair leopard print. It really makes the shoe pop and stand out of a crowd. The camel suede color of the upper part of the shoe is right on target for the fall and is a great compliment to the leopard print. This shoe is sure to make quite a few appearances this season with my wardrobe.

A big Hello Lover to one of my favorite fall purchases so far...Fabio Rusconi's Olivia L.

Do you think leopard/ animal print is a trend or a classic wardrobe staple when done correctly?

OOTD- A Berry Early Dinner with the Hubby :-)

The fall season is quickly approaching and I love when the weather is caught somewhere between summer and fall; when you can still wear breezy summer tops, but no one looks at you strange when you're wearing full length pants lol. With this pre-fall weather around us, I decided to dip my toes into the pre-fall fashions with my outfit. The colors are fall appropriate, but it's still light enough to wear without perspiring.

Hubby and I decided to enjoy the weather and spend some quality time just chillaxing (what else are you supposed to do on Labor Day? lol) and enjoying each other's company with an early dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.

Pants- ZARA, Sandals- Pelle Moda

Top- F21

Leather Clutch- Aldo, Tiger Head Cocktail Ring- The GlamCloset

Dinner was soo good. Hubby had Tangerine Beef, I had the Curry Red Snapper and we shared a Dragon Roll and a Rainbow roll. I always get the same thing when I come here. When I find something that I like, I stick to it lol.

How did you spend your Labor Day?

OOTD- Wrapped in Flowers on a Sunday Morning :-)

So this past Sunday I woke up a little late for church and needed to get ready in a short period of time, so I decided on wearing something easy but still chic. A classic wrap dress is great for times like this, super simple (no fuss), but still stylish. It's perfect for every silhouette and if you get it in a print, it looks a lot more than what it really is (although solid color wrap dresses, especially black offers a lot more versatility).

Shoes- Aldo

Dress- ZARA

lol, just realized that I was wearing red, white, and blue. This would have been great for Independence Day lol :-)

{Edit- Hey divas, I decided to start using LookBook.NU in addition to Chictopia. If you are on LookBook.NU please show your support and let me know your profile so that I can show you support as well. Thanks xoxo :-}

I hope you all are having a great Labor Day weekend. Take a little time to just do nothing and enjoy it. I hope you have a wonderful week as well :-)

When you have to get ready in a short period of time, what is your go to outfit?
