Fashion Friday: Hello Lover (A Glittery Treat)- Christian Louboutin Purple Glitter Bambou :-)

In my world, unicorns fart glitter lol...

I was on a hunt for these shoes ever since I received an email from the Christian Louboutin Madison Avenue store almost 2 months ago with a picture of them. Although I don't have a favorite color, there is just something about a gorgeous shade of purple that gets me all excited, so about 2 weeks ago I decided to track them down.  I was in Saks actually helping a friend look for a shoe when the gorgeous sparkle of these caught my attention. They actually looked better than the picture standing there on the shelf, needless to say, I was super excited!

As some of you may already know, this year I have been dedicated to rebuilding my wardrobe with quality classic items. I realized that although I did have a lot of shoes, I only had a few that I actually wore. Because of that, I decided to donate all of the shoes that I didn't wear and start rebuilding with items that I actually loved.

Although the Christian Louboutin Purple Glitter Bambous may not be considered a classic, when I saw their picture in that email, the first thing that came to my mind was, "Hello Lover"...thanks a lot Miss Bradshaw! lol. I know that they are definitely not for everyone, but they are most definitely right up my alley. These shoes are show-stoppers. Pictures can not do it justice. They are covered with purple mini glitter with an underlying layer of fuchsia glitter. Absolutely gorgeous (but I may just be a bit biased lol).
My hubby says that the remind him of Dorothy's shoes in the Wizard of Oz, but just purple (...men! lol).

Worn with jeans and a tshirt or a cocktail dress, they will definitely be the topic of someone's conversation.

Hello Lover...

This is the picture from the email

OOTD- Au Natural...Fleurs :-)

The weather here in NY has been almost unbearable lately. With temperatures reaching well over 90 degrees, it's really to the point where even if a person had no clothes on, they would still complain of overheating. I hate extreme temperatures, but whether it's too hot or too cold a diva still has to look chic.

I really didn't put much effort into this outfit at all. This dress has been hanging in my closet for the past few months just waiting for weather like this so it can be worn. I literally threw on the first belt that I laid my hands on, a pair of stylish but comfortable shoes, my handy dandy little Zara bag (that has been attached to me all summer), and sprayed some water in my hair (not very smart because my hair ended up looking like a cotton ball by the end of the night lol), before I headed out of the door.

This outfit was perfectly easy for running errands and meeting up with the hubby for an early dinner in this unbearable weather.

Floral Dress- H&M

Belt- Vintage

Makeup- I basically used the items I mentioned in the previous post

Handbag- ZARA Shoes- H&M

How are you remaining cool & chic in this weather? :-)

☞Beauty Tuesday- My 7 Must Have items for an Everyday "natural" Diva-licious Face :-)

I decided to start a new series titled Beauty Tuesdays right here on VivaDivaGlam.com. I love fashion and style, but I also love makeup and skin care just as much; so every Tuesday get ready for a beauty post of cosmetics and skincare items that I am loving or hating lol.

Today I'm going to share with you my 7 must haves for an everyday natural sun kissed diva face. These items can be totally different for you, but these are the items that I've noticed that I've reached for the most so far this summer.

The only thing that I questioned including on this list was my go to summer foundation MAC's Face & Body. The only reason that I didn't include is because although I love it and use it often, I have also been experimenting with mixing moisturizers with a few of my other favorite foundations like Revlon's ColorStay to make a tinted moisturizer; which has also been working fabulously for me. I am fully aware that some ladies prefer just powder in the summer which is completely understandable, but if you want or need just a little bit of coverage, definitely check out Face & Body or making your own tinted moisturizer.

Now unto the list...

Ever Summer Face must have at least spf 30  on it. I also like MAC's Face Protection Visage with spf 50 (it works as a great primer for oily skin types).

MAC's Mineralized Skin Finish Natural- This mineralized powder is great if you want just a bit of a sun kissed glow to your skin. It's very subtle but effective and won't leave your face looking like a disco ball.

Urban Decay Naked Palette- This palette is a must have for natural glam looks. It can easily take a diva from day to night (from the office to a fabulous night out). This palette won't disappoint. If you can get your hands on it, definitely do so and give it a try.

MAC's Fabulush Cream Color Base- This orangy coppery cream base is great for so many reasons. It can be used on your eyes, cheeks, and lips. The Fabulush color is great on almost all skin tones to give a summery warm glow to the skin. Apply with a stippling brush for more control and better blending

MAC Raizin Blush- Although I love Raizin all year long, there is just something about it on medium to dark skin tones in the summer that is just beautiful. Raizin is a definite staple in my arsenal. Although I have many different color blushes, when in doubt, Raizin never let's me down.

MAC CB96 Lipstick- I remember the first day that I saw CB96 at a MAC counter. I wasn't impressed just by looking at it, but when I swatched it, it became a must have. This frosty orange lipstick, definitely adds some glam to a natural divalicious face.

Black Opal Patent Glam Lipgloss- Glam looks like deep liquid gold when applied to the lips. Worn on it's on or over your favorite lipstick, Glam gives of the appearance of being kissed by the sun on your lips.

When all of these items are combined, you can't help but look like a fresh faced golden goddess. Just add your favorite dark eyeliner and lashes to take your from day to night and you are set :-).

What are some of your favorite must have everyday cosmetic item?
